Really helpful 4WD rental place - they bent over backwards to sort us out when it turned out our rental car from Canberra couldn't take snow chains. Decent range of 4WDs to get you up the mountain.
Alpen Auto's. I would give 6 stars if I could. Great to be able to hire a car (Ford Territory) large enough and with electric brakes to tow our van back to Sydney. Very good service, even gave me a free lift back to Cooma air port when I returned the car. Try these guys first before you try anyone else if you need a hire car in the Snowy's.Also very reasonable hire rate.Thanks Mark for your help getting us out of a bind.Rudi
